Commonly known as butterfly weed, this bushy, 1 1/2-2 ft. perennial is prized for its large, flat-topped clusters of bright-orange flowers. Butterflies and other pollinators are attracted to the plant by its color and its copious production of nectar. It is a species of milkweed that is used as a host plant for growing Monarch caterpillars.
